Re: Colour Problems Again

Post by Tania »

I purchased a Ricoh 3110D - I had a go at making some coasters for the first time last night, lots of tips and information on here which really helped.
The problem is:-

1. This is the original picture, notice the brown part of the dog is a chestnut colour. When printed on a normal printer it is almost perfect. When I print onto the sublimation paper, it is slightly orange. Once the image is processed onto the coaster it turns into a bright orange. I have just looked at the mugs I produced earlier in the week and they are also orange. I set the temperature for 200, initially 60 seconds but the image looked scuffed, so I increased to 70 seconds, everything looked perfect except the chestnut colour is orange.

This is the originial.

This is the print on sublimation paper you can see how the colour has changed slightly to orange! I am concerned the colour has gone wrong at this stage.

This is a selction of four I produced, the ears have turned orange.

Have you changed the sublimation product to unisub or whatever the coasters are in the powerdriver?
The top right hand one looks like moisture, did you pre press them?

Hi

I have checked through the printer setting and I don't have the page of setting you have shown! Is there some software I should have installed when I got the printer.

Thank you for your reply.

I have done the download and it works, thank you. What do I select for coasters as that is not on the list. Sorry to keep asking basic questions.
