Ricoh SG 3110DN Error SC (28212)

I have just had the following message along with a red light appear on my printer.

SC (28212)
Power Off On

Call service if Error reoccurs

I have tried turning power off and on as instructed but still no luck.

Any ideas?

I had this problem last week. I contacted BMS (where I got the printer from) Who advised me to change all the inks and preform a carriage reset. They sent me instructions on how to do this.

Please be aware it does drain alot of ink when you do the reset.

I might give BMS a call, I purchased it from them a few months ago and only installed new inks last week and I don't fancy wasting expensive ink!

If you only got it a few months ago they will sort everything out for you. I received First Class service from them as always.

DO NOT DO THIS. The reset process must ONLY be done with a brand new set of cartridges with authorisation from your supplier in conjunction with Sawgrass.

Not suggesting you'd get into trouble . Just don't want anyone doing this, wasting a huge amount of ink and then contacting their supplier as the first contact should be with the supplier and the reset should only be done with a brand new set of cartridges.

Yeah I was gutted watching a new set of cartridges drain but it made the printer work until today do you do the waste ink cartridge as its filled up quite abit?

Cartridges might have drained but I presume you had contacted us as your supplier if it was the same error code and we supplied you with a set FOC so there was no cost to you. We do supply waste tanks as well, all online.
