Backing coming off

Hi,
I’ve got some Christmas decorations that aren’t sealed on the back like unisub coasters are. The heat tape is pulling the backing off every time. I’ve tried peeling when hot and cold and it still comes off. I also tried less pressure but the image was faded. I’m using Xpres heat tape

Looks like a faulty batch to me but then i have no idea what it is supposed to look like.
but the tape pulling it away like that isn’t normal.

Two reasons. Either rubbish backing or leave for 24 hours before peeling which is what we do to stop this.

Can you not just tape down onto a sheet? You're wrapping the tape around and causing damage to the rear.
