Been asked about doing placemats today unisub hardboard customer is enquiring about baize for the underside.

SoleJuice have just introduced a new PictaLeather UV style placemat and matching coaster. I had one through to test and the print is superb, worth a look.
Unisub place mats are a PITA for warping (see similar threads!)

You shouldn't need to put anything on top to flatten these, that's the point. If you were printing 1 or 2 it's not a problem but on a longer run....

Agreed - I just thought it might be helpful for those doing the odd few with stock they already have. Dampening the backs is also supposed to help. Best thing to do in my opinion is to boycott the product as I personally see them as being faulty. All stock is the same.
