Re: pale subbing

Post by robhil »

I am having real problems at present.

I was subbing glass clocks, coasters, key rings etc with no problem.

I bought a purse from Isub supplies and followed their advice about printing and pressing.

This came out of the printer fine but was very pale after pressing.

I decided I would try pressing again with a much darker print to try and cover up the original, however it still came out very pale.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong.

Could be a number of things, first that springs to mind would be press, are you getting a good even heat without cold spots?

Paul I haven't done anything different to what I have always done, Its almost as though the paper is not releasing the ink.

Yeah, double-check your paper is the right way up. Believe me, it happens!

What a thicko am I

The paper was the right way round but I loaded it onto the press paper on the bottom instead of on the top, tried it this morning and came out fine.

Sorry to trouble anyone.
