Hi all.

I just second hand Jarin HF2200 mug press which just arrived. When I opened a box I've noticed that blanket looks like DIY blanket. Looks very poor, is very slim and looks absolutely different to compare with original one.

I already opened a case against seller but because I heard a lot of good opinions about that mug press I'm considering to keep it if I'll find a place to buy a new blanket.
Does anybody know where can I buy a new blanket for that mug press ?
Also want to ask if it's a good idea to keep it and replace a blanket (I will make sure that seller will pay for it) or should I return it to seller ?
Press seems to be working fine except that blanket.

I paid 175 for it if that helps

I attached pictures below to show You what I mean:

Thanks for any help
Thats is the correct element Just bought one £105 delivered in Dec 2014 if this helps Don't fine them very helpful at Witham though.

The green foam blanket was supplied by Jaren for a long while, its fitted with Silicone glue - the clear silicone used in bathrooms.

Recently a grey clip on silicone rubber blanket is being fitted / provided. This requires cleaning all the current blanket off the metal element. Once fitted its very easy to change when worn out.

I know this is an old thread but I have just recently got a 2nd hand one of these. I have posted else where of my difficulties with using the press
http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk/vbforum/sh ... mug-prints.
but am wondering whether I need a new blanket. I have the grey rubber one in place at the moment. How do you know when they need replacing.
Many thanks
Iain

In our experience these are more trouble than they're worth compared to even cheap Chinese ones!

Is that just through inconsistent results or the manufacturer as well?

Hi, that is the correct replacement liner they now supply, I've used them and moved onto a different press! This replaces the silicone sleeve they used to supply.

More ease of use than anything really, the cheap Chinese presses we now use with the mug being horizontal just feel easier to use -the Jarins aren't as easy and take up a lot more bench space (which is more of an issue when you want 4 or 5 of them lined up for one person to operate easily.

I've got a tshirt press of theirs (2nd one) and a cap press, had them for several years and work faultlesly, I have a mug press too but I do prefer the Listawood one for many reasons not least of all it can do latte mugs. Whenever I've needed to speak to Jarin they have always been helpful, ask for Kevin. 01376 517717

Their flat bed clam presses are good, we did like that the mug press can do 10/11 oz mugs, but also smaller 6 oz types too. But not enough to keep using them, have a couple of them sat under the workbench at the moment!

The Jarin plate press is a good bit of kit. I think they have stopped making them now.
