Re: Folding canvas corners

One of the hardest parts of making canvas is getting the corners folded correctly. There are several ways to do this but I am happy with this one. Incidently the technique video was originally published on You Tube so not my idea. However I think this set of stills is easier to follow and have added cut lines and other detail so that may help.

Good guide, you can get the exact same result with no need to cut though

The stapler you use is key though :)

I guess the idea is to remove as much canvas as possible to make folding easier. Never really looked closely as to why particular cuts were made, it just seems to work for me

That is the reason, but it takes unnecessary time to achieve this.

We product about 50-100 canvas a day at the moment and don't have any issues.

100 a day - I wish !!. Probably average 2 a week so plenty of time. You will also be using a machine so no cutting necessary I presume.

We make them still by hand, just trim using a template then cut the excess off once stapled on the back
