Re: HELP! Please... problem with printing shadows

Post by SilentAlf »

Hi All,

As you can see in the attached photo black lines are appearing in the shadowed area when only. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

My printer is a Ricoh SG3110DN Printer and I use Photoshop elements 6.0

Many thanks,

Next suggestion is an alignment check. I assume you mean the arching lines at the top where there is (or should be) a smooth gradient. I don't see why that would cause the issue there alone, but....

I only use Corel but before I print I use the wireframe view to check that I have no hidden lines. Are the lines on the paper before printing.
Many thanks

What happens if you convert the image to bitmap? I say this because I was sent an image that just printed with colours all to pot. It was a bitmap pattern that in it's self should not have been a problem, convert to straight bitmap...problem gone. I don't understand it but it worked!

How odd, there is an option to go grey scale..but you should have the option to go full colour.

Send me the image and Ill print one off to see what happens. I'll PM you.
