switching over from oven to press

I would say to preheat the bases - there's a lot of ceramic there that sucks the heat away from where you're wanting it.
And tighten up your press to compensate for the non-straightness of your mugs.

Maybe try putting a heat mat around it inside the press. Can't remember the proper name. They're used on things with potentially uneven surfaces like rock slates

I use Listawood mugs, Listawood Genie press.. and when doing a full wrap image, heat the base of my mugs on a teppanyaki grill.. only ever issues I have are with the odd mugs that had a slight taper at the bottom.. might be worth looking at what mugs you are using and heating the bottoms if you are going to the bottom..

Thank you all for the advice, I'll start with heating the bottom of the mugs as hopefully this will help,

I used the same mugs when I was using the over an didn't have this issue so it makes sense that that will fix the problem.

The mugs have a diffrent colour inside and can be bought at quite a few different supplies including Coralgraph

Hi there. I have had a mug press (for mugs, naturally) and a heat press for slates and the blank style phone covers. Our website will be launched in the next two weeks and we are advertising the wrap-around style covers as well. We were looking towards a vacuum press which will do 12 mugs at one go. Apparently this machine will do all the phone covers and slates too. There is a company in the midlands which sells them for around £700. Would this be value for money as the gentleman who started this post has moved away from the oven? Help and advice needed.. please.
