i Early, do you have to glaze them with a blow torch or can you stick them in an oven or kiln if you were running bulk?
I did get a good production run going on the previous system so am interested in this one for my clients.
I am sure TMT will answer these and other questions I have when I see them, but always good to hear from an actual user.

You shouldn't have to fire them with the Toner coated mugs as that is what gives the print better durability. The standard mugs (non coated) were okayish in the dishwasher but if they are scraped when hot then they could scratch fairly easily. When I did try them we did a warm peel (not hot) and they seemed to come away fine. If they were too hot then it could also take the transfer with it if not careful.

Re: TMT CPM Printed Mug
Just heard back from TMT, mugs at £1.80ea but aim is to get them down to £1.50ea. Total cost is said to be £2ea. Print time is 2 minutes.
6 colours of mugs in production, all other colours available but 1000 mug run minimum.

CPM / toner on plain china is @ 6- 8 mins, you need to temper the toner -bake in an oven for 5/10 mins or wave a blowtorch at them, makes it shiny and tougher.
The satin finish coloured mugs do not need tempering, press 2-3 mins depending on the press and if a buffering layer of foam silicon is needed (the TMT Soft pad material)
As an aside the mugboxes can be done with 2 A4 sub sheets if your careful.

card coated with polyester? - has a window hole cut into the blank and they supply a self adhesive plastic to stick in place after pressing.
Have to say they look good, not give away cheap at 70p for the blank plus ink and paper but definitely a value added item.

Sounds interesting. I know you can cut your own card box etc. but this sounds like it would add a premium feel to any mug
Look forward to seeing them.
