We are actually fairly happy with Sky... Got a membership through one of those coupon codes on http://www.voucherbox.co.uk/, and have been happily watching since :D Also good for the grandkids, as we can download movies for them when they visit.

If you got a computer or tablet then just download the sky go and try it, its free, the channels you get depends on the main subscription you have with them.
You are watching it as you would on the tv at the same time, its the tv on your pc.

i see what the monthly subscription rates are and think f*ck me someone is making sh*te loads of money - we have freeview - we are not sports fans and any series we want to watch we just stream from a variety of sites - even if i were back in the world of corporate employment i could not justify spending that much on tv

DAVE ???....lol....only on a sunday

just to add to the sky thread - i just canceled mine today.
I only got time to view it for about 2 hrs when i,m getting my dinner - and thats it !.

so i think i,m going the freesat route. After pondering through the maze of freesat, freeview, now box and the rest - freesat came out better reviews for content ect.
But i got another 4wk till this one is switched off, so will have another good look around the net for the best box reviews next.

Sky for what it is, the adverts are really, really starting to tick me right off - program starts...5 mins into it, advert, then every 15mins after that.....15mins before the end - advert, 5 mins before the end ADVERT....absolutely had enough...couple that with lot of repeats, i will stick with the freesat and netflix + youtube.
aint got time just now to watch it, and certainly wont have around and after xmas...so whats the point in having it ?
