Sky TV

I have sky TV just in the one room.
I spoke to a member of the sky "team" to see what my opitions would be for on demand and multiroom as It would be fun tio have sky in more than one room.

So it appears I can have on demand and the wireless set will be with me in 3 months or I can have it tomorrow for £21:99. I opted to wait the 3 months.
Then the chap tells me that to have sky in any other room I will have to pay an additional £11:25 per room per month and pay for an engineer to install additional cables to each and every room.

I won't be bothering, maybe a freeview box and an internal aerial will do.

Anyone have any other options for me to consider please?

I have this - I used the coax thats in the wall to the roof aerial and cut it in the loft.. joined with a a coax going to the bedroom and all good! - but.. as my box is hd coax won't send hd - but its ok for the bedroom.

i have sky in main living room and use sky go on lappy and tablets in bedrooms ~(not as many channels though) but its free.

+ all your bbc iplayer itv player 4od ect play on lappy/tablets and i also use project free tv to watch series box sets ect.

Aint got Sky, don't want Sky, don't like Sky! I save a heck of a lot of money that way!

Viccar, how does that free sky go work isn't everything spoilt by adverts?

your best solution would probably be a combination of a magic eye, and a second freeview/freesat box. That way you can use the magic eye for watching premium channels (but you'll have to watch the same as whats in the main room) , and use the second box for your free standard channels.

unfortunately this will require one/two coax runs to the extra room (depending on what way you wanna set it up) , but it will be alot more reliable then those video senders. plus its not a very difficult job if your any way good at DIY...may even be possible to use the existing coax cable in the house if there is any there.

Thanks spongerobinson but the wife wont let me channell the walls so its a video sender for me. I will look at the freeview combination option though.
