Re: China mug oven wrap

Post by epstnb »

Hi,
I bought an oven wrap to try out on some china mugs I have. Its a pain to do these in my normal mug press so thought I would try the oven method.
Anyway I got this from the Transfer Press and well check out the pics. Have I done it wrong ? Around the handle there is just a massive gap ! And it is a bigger pain in the arse to set up than the mug press.
It does fit snugly around the curved shape of the mug though.
I emailed them a few days ago but well I guess they don't wanna know , ha !

Anyone know of any alternatives that fit better around the handle ?

regards

It is put on wrong. Clasp should be the other way around but also not sure if the silicon is on the clasp correctly. Got some in work so can take a look in morning if you do not get it sorted before.

Yep ass about face, and I can laugh because I spent hours (literally) with a bottle of wine trying to sort this sort of clasp out! Just put them on the other way around ..... have a bottle of wine first, it then becomes really obvious!

Not sure if this will help.. but this is how I close mine.. and it gives me a close to the edge finish.. not sure if it's actually 'right' lol

I will try it the other way around in the morning.. mind you if the silicon is incorrectly on the clasp, i'm doomed ! .. even wine won't help me

No worries :)

If I do it any other way, it doesn't sit tight right up to the clamp ends..
