No, you never said ALL but it didn't read too well !! lol

I agree with you that it would be nice to see those that sell the cheap tat priced out of the market.. where ever they work from !!

Regarding the postage I have recently found a courier that managed to take two parcels.. one containing a case of mugs.. and the other 30 odd large teddies and 30 keyring teddies.. all the way to Inverness for £18.81 - on a rush too - called them at 11am, they collected around 3pm and they were there before 4pm the following day.. so there are good couriers out there..

OH DEAR @SMO

so my prices on ebay are some of the most competitive on there at the moment for most of our phone cases, and the same on amazon (we just started listing couple days ago) so i must be selling cheap TAT then ? - just because my prices are not the bog standard prices everyone else sells at ?

did it not occur to you that i (and others ) might be buying the cases in bulk, and cheaper, which means i can fire them out CHEAPER and still make good return on them ?
business is business at the end of the day bud - how you conduct your own is really up to yourself.
But dissing others business practices aint the way forward

and i run a fully legit business paying tax's and all the rest of the bills we ALL have and then some :frown:

the only thing thats gonna bother me is the dam mug prices to post.
I am trying to get the local PO to get me one of those size things for the boxes ect.
he got one, but he wouldnt sell me it - i tried today lol

but it dont look good for some of the other guys who sell bulk items...my heart really goes go out to them indeed !!

tickety boo son - tickety boo

SMO
ASLCreative - we post to NI reguarly - it costs no more than anywhere else in the UK with RM as you have a postcode!
At least you know Northern Ireland is in the UK, not like a lot of mainland retailers. LOL

I was talking about bringing goods in - like a case of mugs, heat press, vinyl etc.

Here is an example for you:

We were at the P&P show at the NEC - interested in a particular product from one of the larger companies exhibiting there.

This is the conversation we had with the exhibitor:

Exhibitor: "Free delivery when you order over £100."
Us: "What about Northern Ireland?"
Exhibitor: "Ah, £20 courier charge no matter what value you order is."
Us: "How much is standard rate for UK mainland?"
Exhibitor: "£8.00"

So I have to take that £20 and absorb that cost.

That is the same time and time again.

Hence why the Royal Mail pricing increase is going to be a problem. Royal Mail has always been our back up - now the prices will increase drastically.

Take 5m of 600mm wide vinyl, that could have been sent in the post in a tube for £5.60 (1st Class Post with a compensation limit of £46).

Now that will cost me £10 because the compensation limit has been reduced to £20 for the cheaper option.

I have included counter prices, because many businesses that dispatch goods by courier do not have a Royal Mail account/business collection or do not have a post office near them.

Bigj,
I think you've missed something on the prices - yes the mug post prices (1st class) are going up by 30p - but for that price you can send 1 or 2 mugs. So its actually cheaper to send 2 mugs now - with the right box.

Cheers John
