Re: MDP Flex vinyl peeling off
Hi....I have printed a lot of things recently using MDP Flex vinyl printing onto Polyester...all seems to have worked well. But have had one client get back to me today about the fact that some of the lettering is starting to peel up.
Now I followed the guidelines of setting the heat press to 150 degrees C and pressing for 12 mins.....does anyone know what could have gone wrong?
Im hoping this is a one off and I dont get loads more people contact me!

Re: MDP Flex vinyl peeling off
ask her what she washes with, a lot of people over use fabric conditioner, esp the really concentrated ones, and it plays havoc with material esp polyester - which might be why she is the only one with this issue

Shes not washed it....its a dog vest and onky been used once
so what do u guys do....im a total beginner and just thought u pressed letters once... is that not the case?
Re: MDP Flex vinyl peeling off
You should realy pre press for about 5 seconds to get moisture out.
Then press the vinyl remove carrier sheet
Then cover with teflon sheet and press again for another 5 secs

Re: MDP Flex vinyl peeling off
you could get some baking paper for now,
it maybe worthwhile watching videos on you tube and reading up on how press vinyl properly, if you going to be selling items.

teflon baking sheet are also fine, tesco and others sell them, remember with some flax - you must not pre press (123 flex) and others you do. i thought MDP put good instructions in with their products ? on their website, you really need to follow the instructions from your particular supplier as they all can differ slightly
