so i dont have set up for vinyl so your prob talking about out sourcing the job. another idea i had was the sticker sheets you buy of bms etc say an A4 sheet. they prob are same as vinyl are they? if i make sure the logo has an oval border could i print the logo onto these and then cut around them and stick them on the bags. would mean i could print any colour they want. prob get few logos on each page also so reduce cost. the bags are just to add her personal touch to nomal gift bags so prob will ony be used once anyway

Hi Beefy

No no no... :-)

You are creating A LOT of hassle and work for yourself and will probably end up losing a lot of money on the job in terms of time wasted.

If you want to go the sticker route, both RogerC and myself have Versacams (there maybe others on here) who have the ability to print metallic onto a vinyl and then kiss cut to any shape. You would be far better getting a quote and a sample from either of us and using those.

By the way, I am NOT saying this because I need the work as I have a back log of about 3000 mugs at the moment, I AM saying it because if you want the easiest route this is it.

Please note that metallic gold from a Versacam is not like foil gold.

Before going down this road, and wasting a lot of time, do you know what they are prepared to pay, or have you given them a quote.
Are they supplying the bags or do you have to source them - what size are the bags, and price, if you have to source.
You could be wasting yours, and everyone else's time, chasing a dead end due to end costs if you don't have the above info.

The vinyl is adhesive (its essentially car vinyl wrap).

You peel it and stick it.

Agree with John G though. There are companies that knock these out in the thousands and you or I could not compete. The only advantage you have is that they only require 200.

You can't

If you are to go the vinyl sticker route then you need to get quotes on the printing and cutting of those. Then allow yourself whatever you think it will take to stick them and hey presto your quote is done. In order to get a quote for stickers you will need to provide the following:

Image of artwork
Size of artwork
Special colours (i.e. metallic)
Rough cutting guide

A rough cutting guide gives an outline of the physical shape of the sticker.

You will probably go for oval or square stickers so I would not worry too much about that.
