Might sound daft but do you use them as a business customer (Sky and BT that is) if so, surely it states somewhere that they won't keep you offline for more than so long.. and that sounds like too long..

I would be inclined to call them and call their bluff and tell them that if you are offline because of their incompetence for more than 48 hrs that you will be invoicing them for loss of business.. you never know.. might work

Hope your glass of wine is going down well though..

Glad you're back up and running with your printers. I feel your pain with no phone or boradband. I was offline for 3-4 weeks when I moved into the shop because of stupid broadband providers and then had to wait the time until bt open reach could fit me in.

Hope you get online again soon.

Johnny, give Ofcom a call on 0300 123 3333 or 020 7981 3040 because, they once sorted me out when I had a major problem with my broadband & phone being off. I was getting nowhere at all with BT & was being fobbed off all the time until I called Ofcom. What had been going on for over 2 weeks was fixed in an instant.
