shoving the whole lot of this
talk about nothing going right !

moved into other premises - broadband was ment to be on and phone line also on - yeh the phone line was on and so was the b/b/ - in the previous persons name !
they had not changed/notified of there leaving ( moonlight comes to mind ). so we now have been cut off with no b/b/ and no network. They said everything would be changed over !. I now have to re-apply from scratch - ridiculous !

again i have had to take the stores offline till this gets fixed. Right i thought, i will wire up the wireless printers with the usb cables - they aint having none of that - have uninstalled/re-installed everything you can think off and they wont work at all on USB....so that us stuffed without our network, without any form of printing and 2 stores closed.

and to add, they are saying it will take up to 7-14 days to get sorted - whos they ? - SKY and BT
i cant say ANY swear words on here but you can imagine my frame of mind.
I,m typing this through my tethered android phone

off for a glass of white wine to chill - this is reaaaaaally trying guys. :frown:

Oh boy....and it's not even the 13th until tomorrow!! Atleast it's not snowing like normal up here!!!

Do you have your own server onsite or could you get by with a mifi (mobile internet) dongle for email access, orders etc?!!?!? We have one for emergencies but you might be able to get a 'one off' for the month?!?!?!

Hope you can get it sorted soon though.....that white wine's calling your name!!!!

WALK AWAY FROM THE PRINTERS!!!

Seriously.....it's the end of the normal working day (I know, we don't keep normal working hours when we're self-employed) you're needing a wee break and then start again. Watch some Eastenders to numb your brain a bit...or even some of our rubbish...can't even remember what it's called....oh yes, River City!!! Watch that and then you'll realise that today wasn't that bad after all!!

You are not alone, just fired up my 2 Brother printers and can`t get a good nozzle check. Being trying for three days trying to clear blocked heads on both darn machines.

Got fed up and just ordered another printer from Viking

@fairy - doing just that - leaving it for today - no point in getting myself cheesed off any more. unfortunately i,m very quick tempered which really dont help in this kind of situation.
Off to get some food and chill....

@ NASH - i am thinking of doing that just to get us back up and printing again TBH...7-14 days is way to long.....but there is no reason why these darn things will not work via USB cables - NONE !
off to look at PCWORLD since the sale is on and see what on offer !

hmm - dunno if buying another printer is gonna solve this - have just found the install cd that came with the 5910dw
it will not install from usb either.
and i have tried every port there is, and tested them other usb devices, and they all work fine.

i havnt got a clue what it could be.
just wondeing if buying another brothr printer i,m still gonna have the same problem - minus £79 !

Must be one of those days.

Spent all day printing colour swatches on mugs because something hand gone wrong! Somehow I had managed to change some settings in Corel in the colour correction department, now as far as I know I have only been there once and that was to set it up originally.

10 mugs later, 7 hours of head scratching, I once again have colours on mugs that are as near as near can be to that shown on the screen.

Or am I just too fussy?

Anyway Johnny enjoy the wine.
