It might do.. I know it has been suggested before..

I believe you would need to up the temp and/or time if you do.

I use an oven and clamps so not much help there, sorry :)

15mm is about the same as some 11oz mugs ive got, so the mugs seem normal size.
Looking at the bracket that holds your blanket it looks to bend inwards stopping the handle.

Move the print upwards, you haven't centralised it top and bottom.
Has your press got an adjustable bolt that the mug sits on while in the press - if it has, adjust this to have the mug higher in the press.
I'd also give it more time - they might be the right settings but all presses are different and it looks well undercooked to me.

Try the above - it may help.

thanks john i will raise the mug a little higher and give it another 20secs to just to fill you in with exactly what iam doing i pre warm the mug let it stand then place another mug in the press until temp reaches 160 then place the mug to be printed in the timer kicks in at 170 when time is finished i take the paper off and place in luke warm water is this correct or should i place the mug in at the idle tempreture ?
thanks steve

No need to pre warm, I don't know your press and can't understand why there is an idle temp. It needs to go in at 170 and out at 150/160 ish - if the blacks go brown you've over cooked it. I've set mine at 155 and 155 (ricoh printer) but like I said earlier - different presses will have different settings

I cool mine with a cold fan rather than water, I found water crazes the inside badly after a few uses - at least it does with mine.

Cheers John

The black line looks like it might be something on the original print. If the image is taken from a digital source it might be that the 'white' you see on screen isn't pure white and will be slightly grey which will transfer to the print and therefore onto your mug.
