Help Wanted asap please
Re: Help Wanted asap please
Hi All, i use coreldraw x5 for all things i do and i recently designed a 8 page brochure for someone, I was asked to send it to them in pdf which wasnt a problem and they loved it, Now i have the problem of them sending it on to get printed in time ready for the dirt bike show, I got in contact with the company who are doing it and they said to send it direct to them in pdf form and in prepress mode so they could print it, so after a hour or so of sending it page by page due to being to large to send they have now said it wont work because they use adobe and this was the message i got back
"files that are going to print need a bleed around the edge the document also has to be the correct size kirk wants these A4 so would be 297 x 210, in illustrator its in doc setup you can size and put a 5mm bleed on all edges then when you save it as a PDF say use doc bleed settings and tick all print info/marksthen this will be ready to go, being a PDF i cant do it myself, i would if they were EPS files but may be to big to send, try it as an EPS though if you like and i can sort it out just make sure all fonts are outlines and not fonts.
Could some one please advise me and help me to sort this out if you know how to as im i stuck
Many Thanks
Adam

On X3 there is the facility under 'export' to save it as an eps file. Don't know if this is on X5 but would suspect it is there. If it is all he has to do is import it into his software as text.

If this is going to be a regular thing for you then you need to consider one of the large file transfer services or as ES has said a service like dropbox.
