You know, for the past decade the UK economy has fallen victim to criminality,
corruption & greed - often all together.

At the present the UK
economy is in a dreadful mess. The greed & criminal activities of the banks
and other large corporations has sucked the life blood out of our societies.
Combine this with greedy and often corrupt politicians and you have a recipie
for disaster.

I love sport but I'm now finding it increasingly difficult
to motivate myself for great events like the Olympics!

While our public
services are being starved of resources.
While people are being thrown out of
their jobs.
While families are losing their homes.
While our elderly are
not properly cared for.
While our soldiers return home from wars in
Afghanistan, serving their country only to find themselves dismissed and without
a job.
While children, families & the elderly find themselves living in
poverty.
And while all these corrupt, criminal and greedy banks, politicians
& corporations are still screwing us .........................

Nah, I don't care about the Olympics

When the UK started to plan the Olympics in 2005,
our wonderful politicians told us gulible people the cost would be £2.5Billion.
It's now estimated to have cost 10 times that and still rising -
£25Billion!!!!

We've endured a number of financial scandals in the
UK.
The Banks mis-selling financial products.
The Banks rigging interest
rates.
The Banks & other financial institutions doing dodgy deals and
losing BIG TIME. Then they turn to the British taxpayer to be bailed out costing
us trillions! This why our country is in such a dreadful mess financially. This
is why so many British citizens are suffering the miserable
consequences.

And while all this is happening the Banks have been fixing
interest rate - people have to pay more for their mortgages, for many their
homes were repossessed! Businesses have had to pay more for their borrowings,
for many it was too much and businesses collapsed. Why? Because of the
criminality of the banks.

I now hear the Murdochs don't want to invest in
the UK anymore preferring the USA Image. Hey guys,
you're welcome - Rupbert and his son lack any morals, they are so arrogant they
think themselves above the law and in the UK they pay politicians and the police
to ensure their untouchable - more commonly know as bribes. Now they've been
rumbled they're heading your way. Watch out!

I have no problem with hard
working people earning plenty. The guys who start businesses, go through the
tough times, take the risks & perhaps sometimes risking more than they
should. These guys desrve to be rewarded properly. When bankers & city
slickers cheat, commit fraud and criminal acts, falsley increase interest rates
for their own personal gain ............ I'd like to find an uninhabited island,
send them all there and let them fester in their own cesspit of greed.
And that's it in a nutshell.
The four letter word I wasn't going to print on the site is on the t shirt.

Not having any interest in such a huge waste of money doesn't make me miserable,it just means I am not interested.

The miserable gits are those with corporate interest being so heavy handed that Trading Standards and LOCOG officials are threatening even the smallest non-authorised use of anything remotely to do with the O£ympics with legal action if they don't remove/stop using the logo etc............such as a small flower shop showing support when the torch was carried through their town with an O£ympic 'style' window display and another small shop having hoola hoops in their window in the style of the O£ympic rings. Both were ordered to remove the displays or face legal action.

There are hundreds of cases of the smallest 'unauthorised' use of any logo being ordered to 'desist'or face legal action.

In a nutshell these games have been hijacked by corporate greed and it stinks.

By the way did you know (according to reports) that you can NOT use any credit card other than Visa in any venue where the games are being run because the sponsors have demanded sole coverage. In London it has been reported that for the duration of the Games in certain areas 'outside of the stadia' that all non visa machines within a certain radius will be locked down and out of use!!!!!!!

Finally....I bet if you look at the memorabilia market there will be a minimal amount of items that have been produced in the UK.......this was a brilliant opportunity to help in some small way to kick start the UK economy but I bet almost all will have been produced in China or India.

So if my feeling somewhat pi55ed off with the whole thing makes me miserable then I'm glad to be miserable and I wish a pox on the houses of all those greedy grasping sponsors and their cohorts............the whole thing stinks!!!!!

Rant over........

i read Chris Evans page in the mail today ( a treat to read any sunday paper in this house as we are normally at work all day) and he sums up whats happening in parts of london, my brother can no longer park where he lives, and will also be fined if he does, or if he drives in certain new lanes they are installing, but i think on the whole, its something we should be proud of - i am very very dubious about the opening ceremony - WTF are the hospital beds about, or do you think thats just leaked to the papers so they cant see what the real ceremony will be ??
