I think the main cost after the machine is the paper and ink (presuming that you can find decent paper). My calendar binder came with free wire/hooks to make about 1000 of the things and I still have plenty of those left (so I've never had to buy any).

So, to cost them up, look for the paper you're going to use and work to your current ink costs for ink prices.

Also use to do colanders, and have some were the punch`s ect. last ones i done were for a mates wife who was a model and i remember making them on my A3+ Laser printer, and i used silk coat paper, can`t remember the type but think it was 300gsm or higher. The back & front cover i laminated so as to give it a more stronger feel.
Personally i would not use a inkjet printer to do them, unless you were going to use a photo gloss paper, just my own personal view.
You have to take into account, Ink, all materials and your time to make them to come to a point of sale price and if it is worth it or not. For me it was as i also got a lot of work from them as i had free advertising on the back which in this game is worth every penny ;)
