Re: Calanders
I think the main cost after the machine is the paper and ink (presuming that you can find decent paper). My calendar binder came with free wire/hooks to make about 1000 of the things and I still have plenty of those left (so I've never had to buy any).bigj2552;48605 wrote:whats the "average" cost of running one of these up ? - with the wire/paper ect

So, to cost them up, look for the paper you're going to use and work to your current ink costs for ink prices.
Re: Calanders
the wire is pennies, - maybe 5p
it's all about your print cost.

Re: Calanders
Also use to do colanders, and have some were the punch`s ect. last ones i done were for a mates wife who was a model and i remember making them on my A3+ Laser printer, and i used silk coat paper, can`t remember the type but think it was 300gsm or higher. The back & front cover i laminated so as to give it a more stronger feel.
Personally i would not use a inkjet printer to do them, unless you were going to use a photo gloss paper, just my own personal view.
You have to take into account, Ink, all materials and your time to make them to come to a point of sale price and if it is worth it or not. For me it was as i also got a lot of work from them as i had free advertising on the back which in this game is worth every penny
