I've had this happen to me. Just before Christmas, I was after a printer from eBay. I kept my price steady because I was after a second-hand one. Several times, I was sniped right at the end - and, on more than one occasion, the price of the second-hand printer went for more than a brand new one would have cost. How ridiculous is that? They're fools to themselves, these snipers.

Yep, happens to me every time I bid in auction.
I once bid on a very old 2nd user vac, worth about £5 (to use in my garage) sold for £90 !!!!
Funny thing is, six months on the seller still hasnt got any feedback for that transaction.
