If anyone can help me with this I will be eternally grateful as I am just about to launch my whole system off the nearest bridge... It's sooo frustrating!! Here goes..
I am using an Epson B1100 with Artainium CISS.
To cut a very long story short, I am on my third B1100 in 18 months - each time I am having the same problem. The first two printers were 'lost' due to blocked print heads as I wasn't using them often enough. My most recent replacement (only a couple of weeks old) is already playing up! I started by running nozzle checks every 2/3 days to keep things clear, however this week I haven't been able to and it has been left for a week. Surprise surprise, when I tried to use it today I just cannot get it printing. It's missing magenta and one of the blacks, so everything is printing grey! I've run four head cleans but they've made absolutely no difference. I have also tried re-priming but this hasn't worked either - in fact I am now concerned that I have an actual 'air hole' where the syringe has been into the cartridge so many times (for the three printers). Is this likely to affect the print quality?
I will install some original cartridges tomorrow to see if I can clear it with them, but if anyone has any suggestions at all I would honestly love to hear them... I am now seriously considering giving up on this altogether, it seems it's more hassle than it's worth
Please help!
Thanks guys,
Karen x
