Clock Mechanism
Re: Clock Mechanism
Laser is no good, it has to be a mechanical router. Now, you would think it easy to find a reliable company who could cut shapes for you at a sensible cost but I am still yet to find one. I had bespoke shapes cut as samples but ongoing for larger runs I failed in finding a decent company to do them.

A system accurate enough to make critical compression plates for high perfomance engines is no good???? If heat's the issue - Again, out of the box thinking is required. If necessary cut first coat later... Polyester powder coat (a VERY common coating) sublimates well. - As does two-pack poly automotive material

No charge for one. You've done enough for me in the past, it's the least I can do. I'll get one in a jiffy bag, but I can't get it posted until Thursday.Paul;26419 wrote:Thank you Jonathan! its very kind of you! I got mine from these guys: http://www.clockparts.co.uk/clock-movements.htm The price initially seems more than BMS's price, but the price shown includes VAT and postage so what you see is what you pay. They also do different lengths/styles of hands and mechanisms with different spindle lengths (you need longer lengths to go through glass, and shorter ones for aluminium - I have at least two different lengths here).
Their website isn't the last word, but it's all there somewhere.
Re: Clock Mechanism
I just checked those guys. they website is trible
but i found there what i wanted. I also find them on ebay
I found this:

10 to 24 clock movements with hands £1-60 each
25 to 49 clock movements with hands £1-30 each

100 clock movements with hands 80 pence each
