Just having a coffee (perhaps too strong?) and had a thought. What is the fastest sublimation printer for mugs? Mugs only because that is a lot of cutting.
Is it a small desktop loaded with mug paper? Is it a wide format?

Am I the only one that has these random thoughts? Perhaps I should have less coffee!!

"Nescafe, black or that starbucks type crud?" ohh you made me shudder then.

Cornish coffee "Colombian Smooth" is the current roast.
Brewed in a "French Press"
A dash of oat milk just to lift the flavour

22g of coffee, 330ml of water, 5 minute brew.

I imagine the size of printer thats best, based on you question, comes down to available space and volume of sales.
columbian coffee?

We find printing onto mug sized paper saves a lot of time. That said, the quickest way would be to get someone else to do them all! Happy to work with anyone on this ;-)

Tried the wide format option and it's not much use. If you have a cutter that will automatically cut the mug templates that could work,

I came to the same conclusion when I tried it years ago. I had a wide format Epson and then the Ricoh 3110 doing mugs.

So it appears not much changed.:biggrin:

Our HP stitch is VERY fast at printing, but unfortunately the quality (resolution) is not good enough for hard surfaces, only fabrics

We looked at going down the route of a wide format coupled with a graphtec cutter at one point but realised it’d be too much hassle. The only advantage would be it could’ve been left to run overnight but then we’d have loads of mug wraps to collect and make sure they were right way round, etc.

We went down the route of a desktop printer (currently sawgrass) and pre cut mug sheets. On a busy day we do about 500 mugs a day and the sawgrass just about keeps up.

500 mugs a day would be nice. Having just come back to printing after being away from it for a few years, I have the joy of getting everything up and running again. Why did I ever stop?! :?
