Re: MDP mug press. Read here owner review and pics.
Hi
I’ve had this problem too! When it reaches 185 degrees and I place the mug in and close the clamp it jumps up to 200 plus and my mugs comes out darker.
Only done about 50 presses with this element.
Do you think it’s my element?
Thanks

The person from MDP I spoke to said it’s probably loose wiring and refunded that blanket for me.

You mention you put the mugs in warm water? What is the reason for this?

it stops the sublimation process avoiding blurring or ghosting on your mugs.idealsupply;153767 wrote:You mention you put the mugs in warm water? What is the reason for this?
I have found some mugs the print rises up the mug if I don’t dunk them leaving a Smokey type effect above the print.

Hi, I'm just looking at buying this press, can I check when the press reaches 185 *c if I put a room temperature mug in, the temp will drop and then heat back up to 185 *c is this when the timer starts or does the timer start as soon as the mug goes in?
The timer on my current press starts once the press goes back up to the 180 *c so affectively my mug is in the press for longer than 185 secs.
Thank you

not had any issues with any colours using the method as posted in 1st post.
It’s only If I leave the workshop to answer the door or the phone rings and the mug gets an extra few minutes and gets over cooked that I have issues.
