Wanted: ST-3042 spare parts

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is selling any spare parts for the ST-3042.

My machine keeps shorting when I open the lid. I think the wiring is shot and needs to be replaced.

It heats up fine (both plates) vacuum works as well as the timmer.

But if you move the lid, sometime, it shorts the whole house.

Any helps, recommendations, ideas, or do you know someone who could look at it please, I would be very grateful.

I am based in leicestershire.

My kettle does that sometimes, usually because there is moisture in the base. Have you checked that your problem isn't as simple as a bit of damp in the mechanism or the plug?

Have you emptied the part at the back under the casing which collects the moisture pulled through in the vacuum?
