I really liked my Ricoh 3100DN. Literally idiot proof and I could leave it OFF for weeks and then come back to printing. Faster then any other printers I ever had. not bad on inks. Waste ink tank can be easly removed and swapped for new one.

I am still running a 3110DN had it years, used daily, just keeps going. I think it is replaced by the SG500 now. People will say the ink is expensive, but when you work it out per print on mugs you are probably talking about fractions of a penny difference between that and an epson.
Can't comment on the SG500 but it looks like the same printer!

I have used epson 1500 and two epson wide format printers with the inks now sold by Ink Experts, the inks are very good.

Once again I probably haven't been much help!

I've been using the L805 from Ink Experts. It works.
As well as using the high quality on matte settings, try high quality on plain paper settings, as this solved a problem for me of the printhead hitting the edge of the paper and smearing ink all over the place.

Hi Paul - happy new year. I too have a Ricoh A4 printer and works fine from my mac and I use sublisplash ink cartridges. I'm now wanting an A3 printer and thinking of getting a Sawgrass even though most on the Forum tend to be recommending the Epsons from InkExperts. Your advice would be appreciated.

I couldn't recommend the L805 to anyone until I've experimented with different papers first. I have two of them with the Inkexperts 120gsm Style paper. Both printers catch the A4 paper and smear ink everywhere creating a right mess inside. Using plain paper settings only reduces the print quality to budget quality.

I have better results printing one mug transfer per A4 sheet, which isn't exactly economical. But calling it an A4 sized printer is being far too generous!
