Looking to make my own art based mugs, coasters, bookmarks etc in the new year.
Question.
What A4 printer would you recommend for quality medium use. Or suppliers including printer, inks, paper and icc profile. I use photoshop cs6 mostly but have elements as well.
Cheers.

What is your budget? The 'best' is probably something like the Epson L805, which is a 6 colour photo printer, set up with good ink such as Inktec Sublinova. There are cheaper options but most are of the ones available are 'office' printers, and quality is not so good.

Alternatively Epson have just introduced their own out of the box sublimation printer (SC F100) which comes ready profiled for their own inks and paper. Only 4 colour, and I am not 100% convinced that the Epson ink is as good as Sublinova, but it should be a fool proof system.

Inkexperts without a doubt! See members discount list; although the discount does not apply to printers but will cover papers etc.

Yep, I bought the L805 on Black Friday while it was on offer with the Sublinova inks. The difference is insane when it comes to printing detail compared to my old "office / home" printer.

I see they have 3 different CISS options is the quality difference worth the extra cost, Also what would be the best paper option.

You don't need a Ciss with eco tank printers, so unless you are conerting an existing printer stay clear of them.
Paper depends on what you a printing onto (the substrate). Whatever you use will need an ICC profile that matches it to the ink and printer combination.
