Re: Ghost white toner printing request

Post by Mgoodacre »

Hi,

Don't know what I'm after is possible so also after some advice as well as looking for someone (UK based) to produce an A4 sheet of ghost white print

Basically I'm after placing white print onto a black aluminium flat sheet? Is this possible with the white toner sublimation technique ? Or is there another way ?

If so then I'm after finding someone who would be interested, for a fee of course in producing the text ready for me to transfer onto the black ali

Any help appreciated

Hi Mark

I can't help as I use OKI White toner system and to be brutally honest I am way too busy anyway.

However have you thought about purchasing white metal panels (somewhere like Subli Metals) and then printing the black? They can custom cut etc etc and not only would it be cheaper (I think), but would also be considerably more durable.

Sublimating metal takes quite a bit of practice so if you go down this route be prepared :-)

Hi Mark,

How big is the piece of material?
Have you tried a single colour vinyl using self adhesive?
You could consider doing this with UV printing to the surface and then lacquering the surface or printing a clear UV ink over the white.
