Have been using Xpres Unisub 90 mm "square" coasters quite happily which are only advertised as glossy finish.
Recently opened a new box and surprised to find they were matt finish.
The worse problem is that the backing is de-laminating in the heat press. Anyone else had problems?

Re: Coaster Problem
I would touch base with Xpres about this, Stella. We go through thousands of these coasters and never received any that are matte finish. Do they have XP 4026 on the side of the boxes?
I am sure they will replace any boxes that are not as advertised, cannot fault their customer service.

Re: Coaster Problem
Are you sure that there is no removable film on the coasters? Most come in without the film but a few years back they always had the film to remove first.
Re: Coaster Problem
Thanks for the replies.
Aware of the film covering - it was on the Listawood ones we had before but not the Xpres ones.
If you look at the Xpres website you will see only the gloss version but these arrived double boxed and were not checked on delivery as we do with mugs as they are less likely to be damaged.
They were left unopened for a while as we discovered a barely used supply we had forgotten about, hence the reluctance to moan after a delay.
Only when I studied the inner box did I see the Unisub matte label as shown in the image below.
The backs are a different colour too - much lighter on the matte than the gloss backs (both shown in image) and a bit annoying if supplying a repeat order not to be able to match. The real deal breaker though is the back breaking up after pressing.

Re: Coaster Problem
Yep, 3148 which is either very old stock or just a mix up from Unisub.
There will be closed for the weekend now, but contact Xpres on Monday morning about this and you will have 4026's delivered on Tuesday to replace no problem.
