A good quality matt photo paper from staples will work great for hard surfaces not sure about clothing.
I've stopped buying A3 sublimation paper and use good quality matt photo paper which tends to be cheaper and gives just as good quality.

Thank you - may go and have a little look in staples see what they have.Customprintwales;131061 wrote:A good quality matt photo paper from staples will work great for hard surfaces not sure about clothing.

Hi Customprintwales. Perhaps you can share with us what paper you buy and also maybe a photo of an item using the paper?

At the moment I'm using the Surrey Inkjet Company 130gsm matt photo paper because I like the weight of the paper and while not the cheapest gives a nice finish.
The round clock is on mdf hardboard, the square clock is aluminium and the mug is ceramic

Thank you. This is very interesting. I’ve calculated this paper is about 11p cheaper per A3 page than truepix (inc vat). Would you be willing to post a couple of sheets to us so we can compare to truepix and post a review?

Actually don’t worry as I’ve bought a pack and buying direct is even cheaper so about 16p a page compared to 29p for truepix. Thank you for sharing and I shall review when it arrives.

I looked in staples today and it was £39.95 for 40 sheets of A3 so needless to say we didn't buy any LOL. Will order some online instead
Thanks for the recommendation, I may order some.

I don't know if it works on t-shirts etc as I don't do those but I did a print on a mouse mat which has a fabric top and it works fine.
Generally, I print everything at 180 for 180 but for mouse mat because of the smell I did 180 for 120 seconds
and PU leather I do at 180 for 60 seconds to try and stop the texture on the back from melting away
