Yep, I'd have made you an offer and you could have made a good profit but not now! Why on earth have you spent £350 on genuine inks?

Did you see the machine working before you bought it?

Did you do what I suggested and remove the carts for inspection?

It was running on black only as it was being used for making screens for screen printing

I have a smaller Epson to do this, they supply a particular cleaning agent with the black ink as the inks are much thicker. Have you tried the usual print very large block of cyan?

You should be able to sell the printer alone for more than that on Ebay - we've done it in the past, bought a 9600 and couldn't get all 7 inks flowing, so put it back on Ebay and made a profit selling it as spares/repairs.
Keep the inks and use it in the next one you buy. There's usually a good supply of 7600 and 9600 printers on Ebay - just make sure you get one with a full nozzle check next time.

This is now just a general question as I think I have lost this time.
Could the head really go on just one colour even though that colour has never been used. The machine was used to produce large prints for for screen printing the vitreous enamel London Underground signs. I also know it was always serviced as I used to work there myself.

Personally I don't think it's the head but it's one of those difficult things to sort. Mine just did the same thing but like I say, I did eventually get air through. You still haven't answered about taking your carts out!

If the cyans there don't take carts out, is all air gone? Nozzle check?

That's the problem. I get a near perfect nozzle check on all but the cyan where there is nothing, and I mean nothing, zilch, nada it is completely blank.
