Roland versastudio BN-20
Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
From what I've seen both machines are excellent, I've hade prints from the BN on garment film and I think all printed stuff can fade over time (not unexpected) laminated printed stickers are very durable though. I would call some of the dealers as many have started with the BN and then upgraded to larger machines, although a great entry level machine just a little too small for the sign industry.
Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
True not good for the sign industry but perfect for garment or sticker/decal industry its not often that you need wider than 480mm for a tee or sweatshirt.
Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
I thought gassing off was more about the type of inks used and mimaki do an ecosolvent, perhaps it's not popular. Back to space, unless it's ecosolvent you'll need good ventilation. A dyesub member also told me 1 years (renewable) Roland Bronze warranty on a BN20 is worth £736 so when comparing new and secondhand prices it's worth bearing in mind.

Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
Whats the advantage of the BN20? Isnt a small versacamm (or even a big versacamm) an awful lot better?
Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
Funnily, if you start the print & cut process before you go to bed, it's ready for weeding by the time you get up - even if you are an early riser

Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
I've heard good things about the BN20 but isn't it pretty small? The print speed aside (which I've heard can be very slow) its not like you are going to get a large area done.
Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
Can this sort of printer be left unused for few days?

Re: Roland versastudio BN-20
Can be left for weeks..... twice a day it cycles itself to keep the heads clear very minimal ink use.
