Apols again folks for my lack of knowledge but could someone tell me what was used to make this badge? It feels like rubber and has a very thin black line around the edge. Is it vinyl? Its on a mates work top and been washes hundreds of times. Never faded or anything. Material its on is 59% protex ? 39% cotton, 2% carbon fibre. Any info thanks in advance.

Looks like a custom made transfer to me. You could do something similar with vinyl. Laser transfer might work but washability might not be as good. If it's on an overall you'll need something pretty hardy.

Hi
company I deal with class this as a top grade industrial heavy duty transfer you can also get a digital version if your image is more like a picture. I'm sure other transfer suppliers may call it by another name. but its easily available.

Sammy. What do the transfers cost and do I apply with regular press? Also, can they fix to many materials, metal etc?

Hi Spike1865.
Yes you just apply with a normal heat press. The cost comes down to the size of the actual decal you require and also the amount of colours. The only downside is that they normally want a minimum order (a bit like screen printing ) So as an example the design you have shown looks like 4 separate colours although it doesn't look to large. What I normally do is send in the artwork with info required and they then quote you a price and its then up to you if you want to go ahead. They also do a helmet decal which I'm reliably informed will attach to almost anything plastic , metal etc. . If you would like the details drop me a pm and will pass on.
