The system does contain Artainium inks. The system did come in the box originally, I could possibly obtain a box but would have to check. I'll send you a quick PM with all the details .

Also try cleaning the optical strip.. inside the printer, above the chrome bar the carriage moves along, and above the drive belt, there is a strip which looks gray, give it a wipe with a dry cloth back and front. This strip tells the print head when to fire iirc.

How odd. I don't know if there is Firmware updates you can try downloading? Worth a shot..

Sounds like a memory problem to me. Does it do this when sending the 'test print page' (not the nozzle check) from the Driver? If this works I'd try another PC first.
