Re: BMS mug press?

Post by HayLou »

Okay, i have read a few posts regarding the BMS mug press, but that was back in 2010 (how come do these still get found by google?) Any, seeing a may be in the market for one (im still making up my mind) i wondered if these beauties are any good?

I was looking at the DF1 +?

I have seen second hand bundles on ebay, and seen people selling xpres and adkins second hand, but im always a bit dubious as to whether there is something wrong (im not very trusting) and although an adkins ones do seem to be the best, as i would be starting off, im not sure i can justify the layout, what with a printer, ink, paper, mugs, blar, blar etc etc, money leaving the bank all to quickly ;(

So, if not BMS mug press, what are good in that price range please?

Many thanks
HL

a few years back we started with a cheap press from a known supplier and had no end of probs. after some wrangling got my money back and immediately bought a bms df1 and no complaints since, wish i'd bought it from the outset. as a reliable starting point with warranty i would say its a good call based on my experience.

we're now considering an upgrade but the big question i wonder is whether an adkins et al is really worth all that extra cash. but thats another thread for another day i guess.

I purchased a BMS business start up kit lat week. I had a few issues with the instructions supplied with my press but, apart from those, I'm delighted with my purchase. It's early days yet, and my equipment is still new, but, so far, I've been really pleased with the results I've obtained. I've put this kit through its paces, having printed some highly detailed illustrative work which contains lots of text, gradients and shading, and I'm really pleased with the end product.

I have two BMS mug presses, two years old, had a lot of mugs through them and no problems.

I stumbled across this post whilst looking for advice on a start up package. I'm looking for the full package that would enable me to produce a mug straight away. I don't want something that will be broke in a matter of months.

Thanks In advance.
