Epson 9600 problems

Hi,

can anybody offer any advice, I have a 9600 running windows 7, I have downloaded and installed the windows Vista and XP drivers, I have installed the drivers successfully. I try to print from Photoshop but the printer will not communicate with the laptop, once a print job has been sent it will either not do anything or it will just sit in the print queue until it goes into an error print. Nightmare!!

We use the 64 bit Vista drivers in Win 7 64 bit - and don't have problems across USB, gave up on network printing though, as they tended to fail on larger prints.
Are you installing the driver first, then plugging in the printer?
What is displayed on the printer screen or LEDs when the printer should be printing but isn't?

Sorted it Pisquee all done, my USB port wasn't reading it properly, had to add the printer to the correct USB port which sorted it.
