Re: Opencart 2 - Fresh Install possible problem

Post by Justin »

I've installed a clean/fresh copy of Opencart 2. As soon as I start adding a category I get the following error:

Warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: The first argument should be either a string or an integer in /home/mysite/public_html/new_store/index.php on line 158

Anyone any ideas on what's causing this and how to solve it? Searched the net and all I can find is advice to re-install.

have a read here as it is difficult to analyse the problem not knowing what other modules or vqmods you have, this might help. Section 3 seems to be the most relevant. Make sure you create a new database just to be on the safe side and you site is linked to it. Check the php version for conflicts and turn off globals on your server. Your web host could also be of some help.

tbh justin...why are you going with the latest opencart version ???

there will not be many modules available yet and more important, give it a couple of months before you upgrade to any new version, to let the bugs in the software come to light and get solved..

i never upgrade right away..mainly because it usually full of glitches and usually the developers of the modules we have have not got around to updating them for the new opencart = MAJOR HEADACHE

Yeah, I'm learning that one quickly! lol. Sticking to v1.5.6.4 and all appears OK at the moment. I've a decent responsive theme on and it's starting to take shape again.
