Fumes from dye sublimation heat transfer cause migraines?

Do the fumes caused by dye sublimation heat transfer give anyone else migraines or am I crazy. Our work areas fill with the smoke/steam and there's no ventilation. My headaches are happening when we transfer material and last all night till bedtime. I can't Find anything that says inks are dangerous etc... Help!!!!

I like the smell - sitting by the printers whilst they are printing or when pressing, so I don't think that generally everyone has problems with migraines from them. Migraines point to an allergy and so there would be a variance dependent on the individual. I do suffer from paralysing migraines (not as much as when I was a teen with an allegy to MSG thankfully) so know what they're like to live with.
Check the MSDS sheets from the ink manufacturer, but I would assume most would advise pressing in a ventilated area.

Try changing you ink.

For example I have used cheap as chips inconsistent rubbish ink from ebay and the fumes/gas is very noticeable when pressing (you get quite a big plume when you raise the press). But if I use Sawgrass or Inktec at the same time, temp and item you do not get the big cloud.

I am not suggesting it is not there (perhaps it is) and as Pisquee states, check the MSDS sheets and go from there.

But it might be worth a try to have a go with another ink.
