Hi,
I have just bought a Coralgraph mug press switching over from using an oven and wraps.
I have not had any problems with the printer or paper and it's only happened since I've started using a press.

I can't get the mugs to press properly, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong???

I'm doing 180/180 and have gone up to 240 seconds and 200 heat, I've also tried what feels like every combination in between!!*

I can't get the lower section of the design to transfer.

Any idea where I'm going wrong and how I can fix it?

I only use an oven myself but from reading many posts on here I think your problem may be that the base of the mugs need heating up prior to pressing. There has been posts on here about using a heat plate to stand the mugs on before pressing. I am sure one of the many more knowledgeable people will post more details soon.
Could I ask what you are going to do with your mug clamps and oven as I may be interested in buying them from you.

The oven died a death which is why I have swapped over, and I have given all but one wrap away.
I'll try heating the bottom up,
I've read lots of posts and some say pressure, some say heat and some say time, I thought a press would be a quick easy swap but it seems not quite the case yet.

That is why I went down the oven route. I have only had failure due to human error. I leave it at 200 and cook for 18 mins for all mugs and styles. I even done some china cups the other day and was a bit worried about my settings but they came out great.[ATTACH=CONFIG]2795[/ATTACH]

Can you post a picture of a mug you've printed to show you're problem please.

The press needs to be nice and tight (and then a bit more) so that there is pressure from the blanket over the whole print area of the mug - you should see it depress around where the mug is, and you shouldn't be able to slide the mug around once the press is closed.

I have tightened the pressure on the blanket so it wraps round with no room to move, the cup indents into the blanket.

Here we go, basically the bottom cm.

Not sure if you mentioned it but whose mugs are you using? As mentioned, heating the bottom for 30 secs or so can make all the difference but not always necessary with good quality mugs.

I can see a lip on the bottom of the mug, that will be the cause of the problem, it is pushing the blanket away from the mug hence the band. Straighter mugs would solve the problem. A bit tighter may help.
