Re: Silicone Sheets

I was about to throw out an old mug press which has a crease in the blanket, but otherwise still works great.

I thought I could use it for pressing smaller mugs if I added a silicone sheet around the mug.

Where could I get silicone sheets, what thickness and how much extra pressing time would be required roughly?

Can you not replace the blanket?

No it's too old. Novachrome said it wouldn't be worth it.

edit, found my answer 1.5mm silicone should do it. If anyone knows how much extra time is required to compensate that would save me a few mug wastages (charity shop donations)!
