I'm wondering if somebody can shed some light on an intermittent problem I'm getting printing white metal, I'm getting a very slight yellow blurry shadow around some black text, this doesn't appear to be on the actual print, but appears after pressing.
The strange thing is this doesn't appear to affect all of the items, even when they are printed on the same sub sheet, so I'm struggling to understand whats the cause of this.
All help greatly appreciated.
cheers
Jason

Is the black text 100% black Jason? Is this on a Ricoh?

Sorry I don't have the item here to photograph.
Justin, it's 100% black from RGB colour palette in Coreldraw, printing off the ricoh 5050
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason
The fact that it is an intermittent problem suggests to me that it is a temperature issue especially as you are pressing metal as this is probably the only variable factor in the whole process.
Sorry I can not offer advice apart from try dropping the temp and see if that helps at all.

Is black printing using all four colours? & maybe the yellow is sublimating slightly differently.
My Ricoh printer preferences setup has an option to print black from the black cartridge only rather than using CMYK. Try setting the printer to use black only (if it isn't already) to see if it makes a difference.
