If I print Pauls mug Colour check template on to Aluminium sheet it looks beautiful. Print an image with a light reddy brown flecked wall and mum/husband child with brownish hair and the whole image takes on a greenish hue! Far less noticable in the blue/greys/ whites of tops.
I have done a nozzle check and it is perfect.
Don't know if it makes a difference but the image was processed in photoshop, saved as a Jpeg, but I print in Coreldraw. Image looks fine on screen.
So before I try a new profile does anybody have any ideas?

Hmm printed the image out on my trusty little Ricoh and it's fine.
Oh well...the mystery continues.

Can you not print straight from Photoshop to eliminate any colour management mismatches from loading it into Corel? Photoshop is very good with colour management and printing.

Hi P.
I may have to start using photoshop, BUT the odd thing is it prints fine when printed from the A4 Ricoh. If I put both prints together though, I would say the Ricoh has a very slight pink tinge, whilst the epson has a more distinct green tinge. Just to add to the confusion, if yuo didn't know the brickwork was supposed to have a red fleck in it, you would say the epson print with green hue was better.
The epson I wll go back to basics and do a profile on it.
I'll PM you...avoid coffee whilst reading, you make make a mess!

Well cracked it in the end.
I will go through this in stages as it's the way my mind works.
Problem Suddenly images have strong green colour cast.
What Changed - Printer was moved and turned on end.
What else - When fired up after move spat ink out, this was when colour cast happened.
What was my response - Look for something that's changed, found lines full of air bubbles.
Remedy - pull out all cartridges, re-insert, initiat fill, nozzle check (perfect), re-profile, print.....still green.
Response - repeat process ensuring every stage is exactly as it should be, same outcome, green colour cast .
Now what?- Read, ponder, question, read, ponder etc.
Learn - Green colour cast caused by no profile application. So read, watch videos, question, all was exactly as it should be.
Now what? - Read, ponder, question...etc.
Learn - Green colour cast caused by lack of magenta, nozzle check...perfect. Although that doesn't use much ink..
Thinking - When printing magenta draw is much greater than on a nozzle check. ink drawn by vacuum pump, vaccum pump must work as print is good just wrong colour.
Mad cap idea - Air vents on cartridges blocked?
Solution - Pull off little air vents (7, total value less than 1p!), now run ink test printing a thick long line from each cartridge...all good, nozzle check (as expected - all good), re-profile, print image WOOP WOOP, normal quality returned!
So 2 weeks of head scratching, muttering, goodness knows how much searching of the internet, and the problem was a poxy blocked air vent! Yes that thing sat on a memory card...

Anyway sorted.

Hi Pisq.
It has been quite a ride. The input from yourself and Paul has been most welcome.

I followed this with interest as I also have an Epson that prints with a green hue. Sometimes it is all over the image sometimes it is only in patches. I will follow your instruction and see if it works for me. One question, did you leave the air vents off altogether or did you replace them after unblocking them.
