Which is best inkjet ink and papers

I have a HP Photosmart inkjet printer which I want to use for "print and cut" with my newly acquired Sihouette Cameo (thank you "BIGJ2552")

It will be mainly used for logos on clothing, so durability i.e. no fading or runs after a couple of washes is main criteria.
Is it best to stick with genuine HP inks, or can anyone recommend cheaper replacement cartridges?

i advise that you use pigment inks with refillable cartridges
