Canvas
Re: Canvas
Does anyone use a supplier that does canvas for printing. Not the packs you get with frames just canvas in lengths.

Re: Canvas
Hi R.Prints
What ink's are you using.
On the epson wide format 17" to 44" printers, generally you print using matt black instead of photo black ink on polly cotton canvas . Epson do a gloss canvas that you can use photo black ink on but it does not sell very well as it looks like a varnished painting.
Here are some links to Photo Canvas suppliers http://www.permajet.com/ProductGrp/Perm ... att-405gsm (give them a ring very helpful and good advise, we have being using there Photo paper for 7 years with genuine Epson Ink).
http://www.fotospeed.com/Fotospeed-Canv ... logue/210/ also a very good supplier.
http://www.fujifilm.eu/uk/products/phot ... _c115331-2 We use the HD White Cotton Canvas 400g and are very happy. Also look up Epson Canvas http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/co ... gfap/wrmcr
You will have to spray a canvas guard (Lacquer/ Laminate) as a UV Guard and to fix the matt black so that it does not smudge and also it protects the canvas while you are stretching it on to the stretcher bars.
Hope this info is some help , and answers you question.
Regards Ian

Re: Canvas
Hi Ray. http://www.serigraf.ie/sublimation_blanks_canvas.html Brian or Daren can help , I have seen these canvas finished in there showroom. But I think they are sold as kits not roll ?. Because to Sublimate the canvas will have to be treated. You need to see the finished product. Regards Ian

Re: Canvas
If it's polyester based canvas, rather than cotton, then it will not need to treated, and is a fairly common thing to do (sublimation poly-canvas)
