I bought 25 pre stitched neoprene can or stubby coolers. I haven't found the correct size insert for them so I can press them yet but my mug press doesnt close all the way so that will mean i will have a white gap of about 20mm.

what can I do

I always presumed that these were pressed on a flat heat press and just pressed once each side.

but they have a round base on them so are awkward to press flat, even if i pressed flat wouldnt you get lines on the edges

I wonder if these are more like the US Koozies.. than the stubby coolers that we get which are just something that wrap round a can ??

Hmmm. you just solved a problem for me. I have some velcro wrap stubby coolers. using an insert will let me print without melting the velcro.
As for the round ones. I found my mouse pads and stubby coolers look far better with a white space top and bottom and left and right of the image. So using an insert just might work well. Not sure how much heat and pressure a stubby can take. I can suggest that the aluminium insert for my polysub mugs works a treat for my stubby coolers

Cheers,
