Re: Setup advice

Post by Signguy »

Hi

So looking at going down this route to set up, all advice welcome just incase I am missing something

Printer Epson WP-4015
Bulk Ink cartridges
Ink sublijet iq using the 110mm refill bags
get the driver off sawgrass site

Apart from a bit of faffing around filling is this an ok way to go. You get more ink for your money with the bags and refills than using preloaded cartridges.

Thanks for your thoughts

If, in the event of problems you would be on less than solid grounds with the warranty available from your supplier if you're not using the supported ink delivery system.

Best to talk to your intended suppliers and see what support they can give you in this.
Also, if wanting to refill cartridges/CISS then getting ink in bottles is going to be less messy/easier than the bags I would think.

Don't believe the IQ inks are available in bottles, just bags.

Yes, the IQ inks may not be available in bottles, but they aren't the only choice available on the market, you yourself sell the Artainium ink in bottles, Rotech is available in bottles, and then there's the market outside of the Sawgrass system, which I won't go into here.
If the OP wants to go down this type of route, then he would be better off, and have a much cleaner printer/hands/room if he had a less messy way of refilling the printer - trying to us the refill bags in this way seems silly if there are bottled inks available.

I agree, but IQ inks are the only supported option in the WP-4015 hence, IMO, the OP's comments about buying the ink in bags compared to the IQ inks in cartridges for the printer.
